When looking for land upon which to build a home in 1987, Dennis chose Winfield because it is in the heart of the land holdings of the Forest Preserve District. This was the driving force in the decision on where to live.
Dennis is an avid runner, tennis player, bicyclist, gardener and scuba diver. Some of the other activities that he often participates in include whitewater kayaking, sea kayaking, horseback riding, swimming, cross-county skiing, sailing and hang gliding. He has completed three horseman education and riding classes at Danada Equestrian Center, holds an Advanced Skipper Ocean Certificate and a Class 2 Hang Glider Rating.
